AVP is very proud to welcome our 4 outstanding new guys, Paul Ruess, Sean McDonald, Doug Henderson, and Blair Jenet to the Fall 2010 class of AVP, codenamed: "The Ol' Switcheroo"
It wasn't easy trying to pick these few from a record turnout of talented auditionees, but these four gentlemen sang and rocked hard enough to join the ranks of AVP, and we could not be more happy to have them. Live it up guys, you've earned it.

Ever dreamed of a cappella stardom? Want to become the newest member of the Academical Village People? Well you're in luck because AVP is having their fall auditions this week!
Auditions will take place on Thursday August 26th and Friday August 27th all day long from 10am to 5pm.
Come out with a verse and a chorus of something that will blow us away. We're looking for good soloists and strong performers -- and people who like to rock out and have a great time while doing it.

A.V.P. opens for B.O.B.

AVP is kicking off the year right by opening for UPC's welcome concert on Saturday, August 21st featuring B.o.B. The concert is free and open to all UVA students, so don't miss out!
Also, be sure to keep an eye out for your favorite boys of a cappella around grounds during the rest of welcome week, and don't forget to come and see AVP and all the a cappella groups at Rotunda Sing on Wednesday, August 25th. Visit facebook for more UPC welcome week info.

Many thanks to everyone who came out and made the 5th annual Village Jam a tremendous success! We made about $6,000 for Haiti, and the turnout far exceeded our expectations. Thank yous are also in order for the Paramount staff, the VGs, and the Hullabahoos for making this show successful.
Here's video of the last song in the show, "Prayer of the Children," performed by AVP, the VGs, and the Hullabahoos, together on the same stage.
